With the recent surge in positive Covid cases across the nation, we would like to remind everyone of the following:

Is your Student sick?

  1. If your child has symptoms or is complaining of not feeling well please keep them at home and follow this: COVID-19 K-12 e-Decision Tree
  2. Contact the school if your child will be absent for any reason. You may report the absence using this google form or you may also call our phone line at 619-605-3200 and press 1 for attendance to leave a message. Please be specific in your reason.

Has your student been in contact with a confirmed positive case of COVID-19?

  1. Please also use the COVID-19 K-12 e-Decision Tree to see if you need to quarantine your child.The e-Decision Tree has the new updated quarantine periods depending on your child’s situation.
  2. Please note the isolation for close contact exposure can be up to 10 days from the date the person continues to be exposed to someone positive - especially at home.

Symptomatic Testing - SDUSD offers testing every day of the week. Check the District COVID Testing page for locations and hours. 

You can have your student tested weekly at school

  1. You may add your child to Hancock’s weekly Tuesday asymptomatic testing if you have not already done so. Students are tested during school hours. To sign them up:
    1. Complete the opt-in process to allow the testers to conduct weekly testing.
    2. Register and consent in the Primary Health Portal in order to be tested.
