The Six Pillars of Character
The six pillars of character model provides the foundation of our character education program. Students participate in a school-wide focus of one pillar each month through visual aids, classroom lessons and campus activities. In addition, our morning announcements include quotes that remind our students about the importance of Good Character. Each of the color-coordinated pillars are used within our character education program to help instill a positive school climate and a culture of kindness, making schools a safe environment for students to learn. We encourage our families to extend the program to discussions and activities at home as well because the more students hear about good character, the more important it will be!
