Hancock Elementary School Enrollment Information

Important Dates for 2021-2022 School Year:

June 16-August 17: Hancock Office open only for Summer School- Enrollment Online only. Limited staff will be available for questions or processing.

August 18: Staff returns to office for Fall Registration - Registration accepted online and in person during this time.

August 27: TK/Kindergarten Orientation (9am)

August 30: First Day of School (7:45am)

 

Please follow all steps below for new student registration at Hancock:

Step 1:

Verify your home school is Hancock using https://www.sandi.net/schoolfinder

Step 2:

Online Enrollment Option: If Hancock is your home school, and you have never enrolled in a San Diego Unified school, you can submit a preliminary online application at https://www.sandiegounified.org/departments/neighborhood_schools_and_enrollment_options/new_student_online_enrollment_for_2021-22Click on the blue "Enroll Online" button.  

Traditional Enrollment Packet Option: Available after August 18th.  During open enrollment, you may come to the Hancock front office during office hours to pick up a hard copy enrollment packet. This packet can be returned when our office reopens in the Fall (August 18).

Step 3:

The following documents are also required for enrollment. You can upload them with your online application or scan them via email to ldella@sandi.netIf you are unable to provide these forms digitally, you may bring them to our enrollment staff  or pick up a packet with hard copy forms during enrollment office hours.

Your Forms:

  • Immunization records
  • Verification of residency (lease agreement, utility bill, etc)
  • Birth certificate
  • Special Education Service documents i.e.. IEP (if applicable)
