Parent Teacher Conferences

This week, teachers are meeting virtually with parents to review the first grading period report card. It is expected that every teacher meets with every student’s parent or guardian to review progress towards grade level standards. Teachers will be reaching back out to parents who have not set up an appointment. Please remember that this is a new experience for all of us and we look forward to sharing what we have learned so far during Online Learning.

PTF News

Next General Meeting 11/17 - Join us November 17th at 4pm for our next PTF meeting on Zoom.
We will be talking about upcoming Fundraisers and events so be sure to check us out. The meeting is
expected to last about an hour and you'll find the link to join the meeting on our Facebook page an hour before the meeting starts.
Holiday Shop for Students - Our Penguin Patch Holiday Shop is almost here!! This year we'll be hosting our holiday shop ONLINE to accommodate our school safety protocols. Just like every year, our holiday shop is a great opportunity for your student to discover the joy of giving. Gifts start at $0.50 and ship directly to your door for a small flat fee. The fun begins on November 23rd. Check out our Facebook page for more information!
Farm Box Deliveries - Thank you to the families that ordered the Yasukochi Family Farms Produce box for our Fall fundraiser. You can still place your order until the end of day Sunday, Nov. 15th, using the link below. The CSA boxes will be available for pickup in Hancock's parking lot on November 21st from 9-10 a.m. All you have to do is pull in and pop your trunk!. Order Form

Fall Title I Information

Community Resources/Activities

San Diego Public Library Livestream Dance Pants Party 11/16 - Mission Valley Public Library is presenting a fun dancing program that includes songs like the "Hokey Pokey" and "Baby Shark." This is suitable for ages 1-6. She is hoping this will be a weekly Monday activity Register for the program here:san diego library dance pants party registration

SD Public Library Storytime and Craft via Zoom 11/18 - This program is geared for toddlers and preschoolers who want to hear books and songs. Regarding the craft, you can pick up the materials the week prior and we will do this together online at the end of the Zoom program. For those who can't pick up supplies at the library or just don't want to make the trip, the librarian can email you a template or give you a list of supplies prior to the event. Questions/Concerns About Distance Learning Technology Issues

Call the Family Technology Support Line at 619-732-1400 for initial troubleshooting. Support Centers are available to exchange devices SDUSD Family Technology Support Center Locations 2020-21.  The district also has a support website with lots of information and guides for troubleshooting.  District Technology Support Website

Need to Report an Absence?

If your child will be absent from online learning please be sure to report your absence. You may report the absence using this google form or you may also call our phone line at 858-496-8310 and put in extension 115 to leave a message . Please be specific in your reason.
