State Testing in May
Starting May 8th through the last week of May, students in grades 3-5 will be working on the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP). During this testing period, we ask that families plan to have their students in school on time and stay the entire school day. Missing portions of the test will require students to make up the testing on an alternate day with a group outside of their classroom. We know from experience that students do best when they test with their class in their own classroom rather than with another staff member. If you have any questions regarding CAASPP, please contact your child’s teacher.

Snakes In Neighborhood
As a reminder Murphy Canyon is literally a canyon with lots of critters who are native to the land we are sitting on. This includes many different types of snakes to include rattlesnakes. Students have been seen climbing and playing on the slopes on the way home from school. Please remind your students that they should not play there and could potentially be putting themselves at risk.
