Spring at Hancock
The stretch between Spring Break and the end of school is a very busy one for our students and staff. Many field trips are scheduled, assemblies and special events are planned. New after school program sessions begin and upper grade students will begin mandatory testing soon. Please be sure you are watching your email, Class Dojo messages, checking your student’s backpack regularly and visiting our school website to stay up to date on what is happening at Hancock. If you need to update the email or phone number on your student’s record, please update through the PowerSchool Parent Portal or come into the office to update us.
Annual Donut Day
On the first Monday after Spring Break (April 3rd), all students who arrive at school on time (before the 7:45 bell) will receive one Krispy Kreme donut. Students should plan to stop by the tables on our quad as they arrive on campus in the morning.
Arrival Time Before School
It is very important that your students do not arrive at school before there is supervision. If your student is eating breakfast at school, the earliest they can be dropped off is 7:15am. For students who are not eating at school, our gates do not open until 7:35am. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated so we can keep all our students safe outside the school gates in the morning.

Military bases, cities and school districts around the world will honor these young American heroes with special events just for them. Hancock has planned the week of April 10-14 with spirit days and a special “Purple Up” day (April 13). Watch for more details and activities as plans come together. See our list of spirit days here.
Last Call for Lost and Found
We have a large number of student jackets, sweatshirts and water bottles in our Lost and Found. This week, they will be put on a rolling rack and brought out to the front of school before and after school. After this week, all remaining items will be donated to a charitable organization. Come look through it for missing items!
