Volunteers Needed: Help Us Get Books to Classrooms! 9/9
We could use a few extra hands! We’re looking for 3 volunteers to help us sort and deliver math books to classrooms on Wednesday, 9/9 between 8:00–11:00 AM. If you have a few hours to spare and would like to help us get these materials into the hands of our students and teachers, we’d love to have you!

Morning Office Hours
Hancock’s office staff is always happy to help parents and visitors in our front office. Our office opens at 7:15am. We do ask that you help us to serve students first! Our mornings are especially busy when students first arrive and for about 15 minutes after the bell rings. Our priority is getting students checked in and safely to their classrooms. Please allow us grace to accomplish this and avoid coming into the office between 7:45 - 8:15. We appreciate your cooperation.
🌺 Military Families Baby Shower
Aloha to all expecting military families and families with babies up to 6 months old! Join the Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic for a FREE Aloha Military Families Baby Shower on Sunday, September 13 from 11:00 AM–1:00 PM in Chula Vista. Need to Report an Absence? 🤒
Communication with our Attendance Clerk, Ms Shauna, is important if your student is absent for any reason. Per San Diego Unified Board policy, if you do not report the reason for the absence to the office within 5 school days, even if it was for an excused reason as permitted by CA Ed Code (illness, medical or dental appointments, funeral services, certain military-connected activities, etc.), it will automatically be changed to an unexcused absence. Please be sure to report the absence and the reason to the office every time. You can do this 24/7 either online or by phone @ 619-605-3200 Option 1. Our teachers cannot excuse absences, so be sure to only report absences to the front office.
