State Testing Begins for 3rd-5th Grade
The annual CA SBA testing begins Tuesday for 3rd-5th grade students. Students will be tested on the California Common Core Content Standards in the area of Literacy and Math. 5th grade students will also be tested on the Science standards. Testing will take place from 4/28-5/15. Exact testing dates will vary by grade level. Please read this letter for more information.
Primetime for 2026-2027
The enrollment window for all San Diego Unified Primetime programs will be from Monday, 4/20/26, through Friday, 5/1/26. A text will be sent to the primary parent/guardian’s cell phone. To ensure you receive this please verify and update the cell number found in your child/children’s Power School account via the Parent Portal. Click HERE for more information. Please reach out to the Extended Learning Opportunities Department with any questions, as our school does not handle any Primetime enrollment.
Have you Re-Registered for Next School Year Yet?🏫📋
Parents of currently enrolled students must log in to their PowerSchool Parent Portal and complete the new form named Student Registration for Next Year to let us know if your student will be returning to any SDUSD school next year for 2026-27. All returning families must complete the Student Registration for Next Year form by the end of day (11:59 p.m.) on Friday, May 8, 2026. Even if you are not returning to a SDUSD, please complete by indicating this to update our records. The more accurate records are now, the less likely we will need to make enrollment/class changes at the start of the new year. Military Family Food Distribution – May 23
Tierrasanta Lutheran Church is hosting a Spring Military Appreciation Food Drive to support local military families. Pre-registered families will receive a food package with staple items and a $25 Commissary gift card.
Drive-thru pickup: Saturday, May 23
Time: 9:00–10:00 AM
Location: 11240 Clairemont Mesa Blvd
Pre-registration required by May 1: Email [email protected] with your name, rank, email, phone number, and the number/ages of children. Space is limited to 120 families… confirmation emails will be sent by May 4. Please share with military families who may benefit 💜
Need to Report an Absence? 🤒
Communication with our Attendance Clerk, Ms Shauna, is important if your student is absent for any reason. Per San Diego Unified policy, if you do not report the reason for the absence to the office within 5 school days, even if it was for an excused reason (illness, medical or dental appointments, funeral services, military ceremonies, etc) it will automatically be changed to an unexcused absence. Please be sure to report the reason for the absence every time. You can do this 24/7 either online or by phone @ 619-605-3200 Option 1.
