State Testing Continues for Grades 3 - 5 📝🧠
State testing continues this week and into early May for Grades 3 - 5. Please continue to help remind students to bring their charged device and headphones daily. Students must be on time (before 7:50am) to ensure they get all the time they need to do their best on the test.
No Parking in School Lot Reminder🚫🚗⚠️
With increased volunteer events and activities on campus, it’s time to remind our families that the school parking lot is for Hancock Staff Only! Volunteers, field trip chaperones, and parents on campus for meetings may not park in our lot during the school day. If you are coming onto campus to pick up a student during the school day, you may park along the curb in front of the main entrance temporarily while you come into the office. For all other visits, please plan ahead and park on the street. Be sure to pay attention to No Parking signs and posted parking timeframes in the neighborhood. Cars found in violation may be cited.
Annual LCFF Income Survey 📋🏫
We need your help! Completing the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) survey is vital for our school. The information gathered through this survey ensures that Hancock Elementary receives the full state funding we are entitled to. This funding directly supports the high-quality education and resources we provide for all our students. Even though all students in California receive free lunch, the LCFF survey plays a crucial role in determining priority status for other valuable state-funded programs such as Primetime and Summer School. By completing the survey, you help ensure your child has the opportunity to access these programs if needed.
San Diego Unified is launching the 2025-26 LCFF data collection this week. We will be offering families 3 options for completing it. The survey is completely confidential and no income verification is required. The options are: PowerSchool Parent Portal, SurveyMonkey or a hard copy survey. Parents may submit a response via any one of these methods. The notification about the survey will come via email from “[email protected] via surveymonkey.com”. Please complete the survey as soon as you can. This only needs to be done once per school year. If you have any questions about the survey, please contact our front office.
