Minimum Days All Week and Upcoming Thanksgiving Break 🕐📅🔔
This coming week, Nov 18-22, our teachers will be meeting with families to review their students’ first grading period progress. In order for teachers to have time to meet with all families, the entire week will be early dismissal (minimum day dismissal of 12:15). Please be sure to make any necessary childcare arrangements for the week.
All schools in the district will be on Thanksgiving Break the entire week of Thanksgiving (Nov 25-29)
Hancock Turkey Trot Results 🦃🏃♂️🏃♀️
The final tally is in and….Hancock families have raised $41,385 for our school!! This is spectacular! We cannot thank our families enough for their hard work in helping to raise funds to support Hancock.
Visual Arts Teachers Seeks Material Donations 🎨🖌️🖼️
In the final weeks of VAPA instruction, our art teacher will be having students work with “found objects”. Ms. Rusch is asking for donations of used/unneeded/recyclable materials such as: Packing popcorn or bubble wrap, Old ribbons, bows, or fabric scraps, Odd buttons, Cardboard TP or paper towel tubes, Leftover party favors, Canned food labels, Odd crafting beads, gems, Leftover Paper baking cups. There will be a donation box in the front office lobby for you to drop items in. Deadline is Friday December 6th.
Scholastic Book Fair - Week 2📚📖🛍️
Hancock is excited to continue our bi-annual Scholastic Book Fair!. The Book Fair is held in the Hancock library and will end Thursday Nov 21. During the second week, which is the week of Parent Teacher Conferences, students will be shopping during class time only. You can, however, shop online from home and your purchase will still get credited to Hancock. Visit Hancock’s Book Fair homepage to set up an eWallet or shop online.
Hancock Harvest Distribution 11/20 🍎🥕🛒
Hancock Harvest will still take place this Wednesday, November 20th, immediately after dismissal (12:15 p.m.). Due to minimum days, food will be distributed only at the distribution station—there will be no car or classroom deliveries.
We kindly ask for your patience as our amazing volunteers will pack and distribute food without breaks to ensure everyone receives their items on time. Thank you for your understanding and support! - Calendar
Family Literacy Night 12/5 👨👩👧👦✨📖🌙
Join us for Family Literacy Night, featuring author Rachael Urrutia Chu. The event is Thursday December 5th at 5:00pm. We will be in the auditorium with Literacy-themed games and activities. Bring a book, take a book - Bring a gently used book in good condition to exchange for a book brought by another student. Light refreshments will be provided. Flyer

Final Call for Lost and Found Retrieval:🧢🧤❓🔍👀
Be sure you have your student check the lost and found for any recently lost items this week. Also, while you are on campus for conferences, please be sure to check the rack items. This rack will be out near the lunch area every day. All items not claimed by Thursday will be donated during Thanksgiving Break.

Need to Report an Absence? ❌
If your child will be absent from school, please be sure to report your absence to the office, not just your teacher. You may report the absence using this google form or you may also call our phone line at 619-605-3200 and Option 1 for attendance to leave a message. Please be specific in your reason.
