Hancock Happenings Week of Apr 5
Posted on 04/07/2021

No On-Site Learning This Week

In order to prepare for reopening of Hancock for all families we have ended our Learning Lab and all in person appointment based instruction this week.  All staff will be required to be in training and professional development throughout the day this week and cannot accommodate in person instruction of any kind. Please make other child care arrangements if needed.

Hybrid On-Site/On-Line Days Starting Monday 4/12

Parents, we are very excited to begin working with students in person for those who have made the Hybrid On-Site selection to begin on April 12th. Those who are choosing to remain online will receive instruction on how to continue to access instruction from their classroom teacher after this week of everyone being online.  Parents should be on the lookout for videos being made and directions from their teachers on how to enter campus and where to go the first day of school for each stable group.  Remember A group attends Mondays and Tuesdays and B groups attend Wednesdays and Thursdays.  Parents should have learned of their stable group from their classroom teacher during the week of parent teacher conferences.  If you are unsure of your child’s group please contact your child’s teacher.

Important Forms for Students Coming to Campus

Hancock will be having a drive-thru distribution of “Back to School” packets on Thursday April 8th from 12:00pm to 1:00pm and  4:00pm to 5:00pm for families to pick up important paperwork and information related to returning to campus. A third pickup option is scheduled for Saturday at 9:00am for families that miss the Thursday time.

Important Health Information for Students Coming to Campus

As we prepare for students back on campus, the Hancock Health Office has prepared some information for you regarding student illnesses, when to keep students home and when they can return to campus after an illness. Please read this information and contact Nurse Brandi if you have any specific questions.

Letter From Nurse Brandi

Students who display symptoms related to COVID during in person instruction should remain at home and cannot return to school unless they have a negative COVID Test or quarantine for 10 days. We understand that some students may have a diagnosed condition that could display certain symptoms that are on the health checklist or clearpass clearance. Certification of Chronic Condition by MD   Download Form Here  This is a way to certify with our health office that a student may exhibit symptoms similar to but unrelated to COVID-19. This is a form you can get started on with your pediatrician if needed.
